307 Win. Barrel Length Efficiency?
What length is needed (min.) to extract everything
possible from a 307 Win. cartridge?...given Encore pistol parameters...I came across 16 boxes
of new Win. 180grn.FP ammo at a local sportsmart for $10/box and thought that I might be willin'
to make the plunge for said "stash"...Might not be a bad combo for treestand blacktail deer medicine!Just would like to know how short the barrel can be to avoid excess muzzle flash/recoil/
and assure accuracy as well as energy...Sure like the looks of those "little Buggers"...Optimum length...everything considered???

At least a 14" full bull, but I'd pick a 18" if at all possible and you like the idea of shooting long range with reloads.

A 14" will work I have a 16" BBL you can get around 2600 FPS this is what I get out of 16" Competitor pistol in 308 and the 308 and the 307 do just about the same
