contender85308 Bellm, anybody..............
..looking for one? I have a 14" for sale, rechambered by Mike B has his muzzle brake, and six screw Weaver scope base, includes 50 pcs. formed brass. Barrel is in excellent condition, the Weaver base has some scuff marks on it, pictures are available @
http://www.hunting-pictures.com/members/contender85/index.htmlIf this barrel sounds familiar, thats because it was recently offered for sale on this site and I bought it without putting a lot of thought into it, I already have a 309JDJ that I've shot very little and I really dont need another 30cal barrel sitting around.
Price is $225 + shipping (just what I've got in it)may also consider trades for 10-12" barrels. Send e-mail or PM if interested, I will be away Mon-Fri. If no interest I will put it on the auction block next weekend.

TCLouisHelp me someone PLEASE buy this barrel.
A SS 44 Mag barrel for 120 bucks (shipped) over at the swamp and this barrel are calling my name, and I don't need either one right now (like most of us "Need" all of the barrels we have now).
Is the original owner of this barrel out there and can they tell us HOW this scope mount got so scarred up?
LouisB
Someone save me from the terrible sounds of these barrels calling my name!

Mike BellmBefore you let the .308 Bellm go down the road, I would shoot it against the .309 JDJ and keep the most accurate one.
And, if per chance you are more prone to shooting lighter bullets, the capacity of the .308 Bellm is much better balanced for this than is the much larger volume of the JDJ which almost has to be fed slow powder in order to keep the loading density up. Usually slow powders don't work all that well with light bullets, especially in the handgun barrels.
The big cheese at "the pond" says Bellm's stuff does not have the resale value of the much touted SSK stuff, so you might do better selling the JDJ on the name.
Two pfennigs' worth.

Mike BellmAnother thought. You can almost buy two barrels for the price of an SSK.

Mike,
My .309JDJ shoots sub-caliber groups at 100 yards. If yours will do better, how about shipping a barrel, dies, and loading data down and I'll wring her out and write up a story on it. A little late for this year's deer season, but groundhogs are on again for next May.

<supermagforever>MS Hitman, Welcome!
Love your writing. Do you still have your .338JDJ#2?
Richard.
