Let's just say "It's possible" with sub-sonic ammo. Not sure what their defination of quiet is. The silenced guns I've had the oportunity to fire where quiet with the correct sub-sonic ammo. The only noise that was present was the sound of the action cycling. These were HK's. The exception to that was a special Colt set up as a 22lr that had to be cycled after every shot, as the ammo wouldn't cycle the slide. Just my experience.

You can get a 22 caliber pistol pretty quite. You will always have some noise. Silencers are not as quite as in movies. doc-abd is right. With subsonic rounds, you can make it quite enough to shoot inside and most noise will be muffled by surrounding or ambient noise.
