Buckweet............Where did you find the load using Unique for the 7TCU??? I could not find that powder listed in any of my manuals. Sounds like a nice light load for 75 yards or less
Just how accurate is it in your barrel?

Buckweet? what is the reason for using cast bullets in your 7TCU?? They about cost as much as a good jacketed bullet. I tried some loads with 139 grn hornady and 9 grains of unique..nice little load..killer penetration..goes through 8" of hardwood block.

Fireball,
By casting bullets they cost about $3/100 depending what the WW's cost. 100 - 150 gr bullets out of WW @ $.50 a lb = $1.07 add 100 gas checks and lube @ $2.00 = About $3.00 per 100. With 12 moulds fom 118 gr to 165 gr I have plenty choices and several of them are Hollow Points. My alloy is more like $.10 per pound so its $.21 per 100 bullets or less. I can use powders like Unique for reduced plinking loads.

Thanks but NO way...NO how am I going to start casting bullets...and as far as I can see IF you DO NOT cast your own then they really do not serve much of a purpose. cast bullets for the 7MM just cost too much..I will go with the deals on Jacketed bullets. Now as for my .357 and 45 stuff. yup it is a nice savings.

Why do you think they cost too much? If you order in bulk you save money. They cuase lees wear on the barrel they take less powder. Give me a call we will talk about it. BBT
