My XP-100 just cost me $1,000

My XP-100 just cost me $1,000
Went up to go bear hunting today and at around noon I saw something moving in the middle of the clear cut I had to cross before getting to my bear hunting spot. I soon realized it wasn't a bear or anything I have seen to much and then it hit me it was a cat! It took off up in the timber so I circled around and cut through the timber as well. Within a matter of minutes I spotted it staring right at me from behind a tree. By the time I got my pistol raised it took off and I thought it was long gone. As I took a few steps I stopped and had a funny feeling something was watching me. I turned to my left and saw it looking at me but I could only see the top part of the chest and head. I quickly raised the 7 mm BR XP-100 with the Burris 3X12 and set it on 6 power and sent 139 gr Hornady SP to it's mark and hit it square in the throat! All I saw was the cat flipping backwards!

Of course had to get the pelt sealed and took it straight to the taxidermist for a full body mount!! My youngest is still crying that we had to leave her "kitty" at the taxidermist

I have four and Love them all .
What load did you use 139gr sp?,also far was the shot ?

The load was 29grs of Re-7 with the 139gr Hornady SP. I know this load is way over listed max but, it is safe in my gun. I have over 10 reloads on the brass and it groups just under 1" @ 100 yards. Muzzle velocity is a tad over 2400fps. I was going to rechamber it to the 7-08 but not sure if I'll even do that now.

Well, there is no comparing to the Encore or Contender for its versatility. You can change barrels in a flash and change from a pistol to rifle in no time. Both the T/C's and XP's shoot M.O.A. if you do your part. The XP's center-grip is by far the best for off hand shooting. At least for me it is. Sorry I'm not much help If I had to choose one over the other. It would be the XP-100 Center-grip for the type of hunting I do.

You may want to settle upon the SECOND most expensive coffee made, Jamaica Blue Mountain.

The Rarest Coffee in The World (And the Most Expensive) is called Kopi Luwak, and though it is very good, and does not bother a true coffee Connoisseur like me, the processing by which the beans are "cured" may put a Florida Redneck like you off just a bit

Kopi Luwak is so rare that there is perhaps only as little as 500 Lbs of it available per year. The Uniqueness is reflected in the price and no other coffee even comes close.

Kopi Luwak sells for $75 per quarter pound. This seems an unimaginably high price for a quarter pound of coffee but it�s the special "Processing" that makes it so incredibly rare.

Kopi Luwak comes from the islands of Sumatra, Java and Sulawesi which are part of the Indonesian Archipelago�s island chain. On these Indonesian islands, there's a small marsupial called the Paradoxurus. This marsupial is a tree-dwelling animal belonging to the Sibet family. Once regarded by the Indonesians as pests because they climb into the coffee trees and eat only the ripest, reddest coffee cherries.

What these animals eat they must also digest and eventually excrete. Some brazen local gathered the beans, which come through the digestion process fairly intact, still wrapped in layers of the cherries' mucilage. The enzymes in the animals' stomachs, though, appear to add something unique to the coffee's flavor through fermentation.

Yes the most expensive�the rarest coffee in the world is partially pre-digested and excreted out of the asshole of the Paradoxurus.

What began as, presumably, a way for the natives to get coffee without climbing the trees has evolved into the world's priciest specialty coffee.

That is a good load I have been using Re 7 but
with 120gr BT @28.5 grs
A off hand shot at 45 yards on a target like that is not easy
and that was a very good shot .
