buckweetnow in really excited !!!
Just curious Buckweet. Why are you wanting a 36cal? Not that it really matters
If your going to hunt with it..say deer size game or bigger I would think that a 50 would serve you better. Just curious
Right on with the 36 caliber, great tree rat medicine. I use just enough powder to make it crack. Your in for a ball
Sorry guys, I never thought about small game

TCLouisHey, how about 32 caliber then we can use buckshot? After all 5 pounds of buckshot is a LOT of shooting, and no squirrel or turkey (where legal) can tell the difference between 32 and 36 caliber!

Course I thought all front stuffing squirel shooters were supposed to be rock locks

Magnum MikeHow about one capable of usin smokeless powder?? I might even be interested if it could use that stuff......
EDIT: I have a nice "roundball load" using 357mag cases and Hornady's .360" ball in a 10" barrel Weet. That would work in that 16" 357 barrel you got.....

USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!
Winchester cases (also have used Remington)
Win Small Pistol Magnum primer (standards where not as consistent)
Hornady .360" round ball
Winchester 231, 2.5 - 5.0 grains (velocity from 350fps to 700fps)
OAL 1.450"
Heavy crimp
I adjusted the powder charge to hit my 158jhp load point of impact at 25 yards. I used the magnum primers to assist with ignition. I have shot numerous five shot sub 1" groups at 25 yards with this combo. I have not tried it but it should make a good small game load. This load is very dirty and the balls DO lead but a couple rounds of jhp's and all is well.
If anyone trys this, let me know how it works out for you. I am also going to develop one for the 44mag and 41mag.....
EDIT: Cases are prep'd in the normal manner. The ball is is about half way in the case when it is crimped in place (sitting in the belled area). My Redding dies provided a better crimp than a RCBS set. Email me with any questions.

Magnum MikeA similar load to the above in a 32H&R Mag would be a good small game getter/plinker too!!

Dave Jenkinsa 48 is kind of a compromise twist. round ball/conical...I'd go a might slower for just shooting a patched round ball.

Mike BellmJust shipped a .360" smooth bore chambered for .357 Max., 18" plus to keep the BATF happy. Snake gun..... another man's dream come true.
I sent along a .357 Mag external choke in case the owner decided he wanted a tighter pattern. He is a machinist and can install it himself. But within normal snake distance and using plastic shot caps, I doubt he will need the choke.
Should be another fun way to use a TC.

Mike -
Since cci 22lr and 22mag shotshells are so prevalent, what do you think about taking a 'normal' 22lr (18"+) bbl and just smoothing the rifling out of it?
Don't know much about machining but sounds like less trouble than making a new bbl.
Pigeons at 10 paces?

Magnum MikeJust might have to wok up a 444 round ball load too!
That would/should make a nice small game load while out big game hunting.
