Thus far, EAA has responded in a brief e-mail stating that the Raptor will be sold as a complete pistol. They will be sending me literature as to pricing, availability, caliber options, etc.

Looks promising, as at least it has not been shelved or discontinued!

I think the integral milled in Weaver cross slots are a definative improvement over the Springfield SASS and Pachmayr Dominator mounting systems which use separate bases, but I will have to look at the lockup etc to have a better overall concept of the action in comparison to past 1911 single shot efforts.

I have also heard rumor of a Doug Koenig 1911 conversion, but cannot find any information on it at all, and wonder if it is just an urban legend....
