Aye, Mike is only 23 years older than I am [Razz]

I do not expect Mike to reply to this very soon: in addition to working down his pile of work, he is presently chasing after bruins in a much deserved couple of days of hunting [Big Grin]

Actually, he was talking to me about some "cooked honey" type scent lure for the bruins, to be placed upon one's self [Eek!] so I suspect it will be more of a case of the bruins chasing after him!

Probably the bears are no sweat when compared to the battle he is having with the army of ferocious moles which have militantly taken over his garden area [Big Grin]

Ah, he's just a kid.

Warning Mike,
you may become ornery and opinionated when you get older, instead of being such a pushover. (HEE HEE HEE)

Happy Birthday

I think you old guys deserve all the respect given! It must have been neet to tear open the powder charges with your teeth and pour them in on those first single shot pistols you used to use.(hehe) mvm

Folks,
I had to leave Mike and Tim early to get back to work tomorrow am. When I left them they both smelt VERY, well - not good. No teddy as of daylight this morning, but they had some good weather today, so maybe things turned for the better.

BTW, this was my first time to meet Mike and Tim in person. Both are top notch. Can't say enough nice things about either of them.

Mike is a gentleman and a heck of a lot of fun. Dee, who has been sick as of late, spend time over a stove cooking DELICIOUS meals for us - again, they are just great folk. (THANKS DEE!)

Downside, we prioritized hunting over the shop this time so I only got a peak at where the wizard works. Hopefully more time next trip.

Will decompress and post some more in the next day or two. Don't expect Mike until Tuesday...

Sorry - didn't have a chance to get any. The few I got were pretty lousy. I was spending to much time thinking of the bear and not enough time thinking about pictures. :-)

Thanks, Ya'll.
One of dozens of parting shots for Tim was the fact that he is the same age I was when I bought Ackley's equipment 23 years ago.

Just wanted to forewarn him where his interests may take him since he has a lathe and is now doing a little barrel and chamber work himself.

Don't know why those two didn't appreciate "Ultimate Bear Lure." It doesn't smell half as bad as the month old fish gut juice and blood mix I used on my boots two years ago!

Bruins don't like the smell of humans one bit. Just trying to confuse them.

Sean, here's one for you. You and Tim are about the same age, and at least twice I called Tim Sean. No joke. Just ask him. Senility setting in? Or just two great guys held in high esteem?

Thanks for all the good wishes, guys. Sleep is calling me.

Ole Double Nickel, almost older than dirt.
