FerdinandPurchase cast 7mm lead bullets?
OK, Thanks to the guidance from this group, I am in the process of acquiring a 7mm TCU barrel for my Contender. Is there an outlet for cast slugs for this caliber? Given my current situation, there is no way that I can buy the equipment and mold them myself. Can decent slugs be bought? Thanks in advance.

Magnum MikeSure can! There are quite a few companies that are making the Lyman & RCBS bullets. Do a search for cast bullets and i am sure you will find lots!!

<Fireball>Magnum did you ever find an ENJOYABLE load with the cast 7MM? I quite loading them. Hated the lead build up in the dies.

Magnum MikeThe load that i tested using H110 was pretty good. Accuracy was ok, no leading. I did have to clean the dies to remove the lube build up....
I think that i will just go back to the "el cheapo" remingtons for plinking....

courtney platerWhile I haven't used thier 7mm bullets, I do use Leadheads 6.5mm and various other and find them of high quality. The web site is at
LeadHead Bullets and look in the gas checked bullet page. Nice folks to deal with and they may even send out a few samples to see if they meet your need.

HobieI use and like Leadhead as well but I have come to prefer the LBT type design and Leadhead does not provide this in 7mm (they do have a .30 that works great). So, I go to
Beartooth Bullets or
Cast Performance for some of my bullets. I'm currently using the Beartooth Bullets 7mm/.284 140 gr. in my 7-30 Waters as a SG bullet. However, it would work just as well in the 7mm TCU.
