Bellm bashing at the big pond
They're at it again. Some guy in Hawaii is blaming the postal system's inadaquacies on poor 'ol Mike.Go read it,it's a hoot. This guy is so impatient,he sounds like he's the only guy needing Encore frame service.Just thought you'd like to know.

Well he dosn't say who he sent it to, so we can only assume. But this is what got me >>>>
I have a very close BATF friend here in Honolulu that's "keeping and eye" on the situation. Think he even gave the guy a call this morning. Knowing him, if he gives my pal any crap, he'll have a few of his "frens" pay him a visit.....
Now if that aint a threat, I don't know what is.
If he felt that way to begin with, why did he even send it there to get worked on?
The thing is, he just sent it on 8/20/02. Seems to me that this guy would be standing WAAAAY back in the line behind us. [Big Grin]

Jules -
I was watching this too, assuming it was Mike he was talking about. Haven't checked it today though.

Bottom line - Mike has posted EVERYWHERE that he is running behind and he wants to catch up before he takes on any more work... Didn't mean he wouldn't take on ANY, but he's been VERY forthright in the fact that he is behind and trying to catch up. Any IDIOT that would make the statements that this guy has is just looking to cause trouble. Also, I'll be downloading the thread as an offline web site for a few legal friends that I have... They may find it interesting that people are using the ATF as their personal enforcers...

I normally try to stay off this topic, but this time I just couldn't help myself. The comment about sicking an ATF agent on Mike is just ridiculous. [Mad]

I've got the current thread downloaded with all stamps. Should make interesting reading where I plan on sending it... [Eek!]

Hey guys;

I have heard you talk about the other pond for a while now.

Am I missing something here or is there another web site that you guys are talking about.

If so could you clue me in because I seem to be lost and I like to fish new ponds even if they are bad.

Thanx for the reply Rick. After reading that mess on the other board I am about to change my mind about something of which I have forever been certain. At least for one certain poster..............anal sex must certainly produce offspring. Hard to believe but it must be true. Regards

Wouldn't you know it. I get up and go about my business doing trigger jobs today and miss out on all the fun!

When I first heard about someone chipping his teeth over non-communication or whatever it was, I thought it was one fellow, and now you tell me it was the one from Hawaii!

I was really tempted to stop at Wal-Mart and buy a binky to pack with the frame when I sent it back so the guy would stop crying. Glad I didn't. Looks like it would have gone to the wrong guy.

The guy from Hawaii probably sent a dozen emails before he decided to send the frame for a trigger job. That should have told me something, but I try to be patient with people, even ones not playing with a full deck and ones with I.Q.s below room temperature. God made 'em all, and made us all different. But he is the last one I would have suspected.

Clarifications, since I have been misquoted several times:
1) I have continued to take trigger jobs throughout the "moratorium" on new work. I am not taking new machine work, but am doing trigger jobs. Always have.

2) I set a goal of a maximum of two weeks turnaround and seldom go over that.

3) All work on frames sent in to Bradbury's is done on their premises. I do not "pick them up." They only place they go is straight from Bradbury's to the shipper.

Since I am not the one logging frames in, I do not recall when the frame from HI came in, but it has only been here a few days and is now on its way home, WELL under two weeks. In fact, it probably won't have been gone two weeks total including transit time both ways!

I have not double checked the website, but I believe Bradbury's phone is on the trigger jobs page, along with their address. If not, they are certainly in the phone book. If the man knew when the frame arrived, which I believe is what was said, then he KNEW it was there, secure. Nonetheless, there was an abundance of emails from this fellow. How much more communication would have satisfied him?

My phone number should be on the website also, but since most of the communication is by email and preferred, I do not put the phone number out liberally.... and most folks respect that. Further, I do not have a phone in the shop for very good reason, and Dee is in no condition to be running the phone out to me, nor do I want her to.

So on the phone issue, respect it, or go away.

It has been a tough week, but I still have gotten a lot done inspite of taking Dee to the hospital in Medford twice this week.

I work for friends. If it turns out to be the fellow from HI making waves, he'd better come up with a whole lot of humble pie if he wants me to do anything for him ever again. If he does not, I can think of at least one or two other shops that should have "the business" he has given me.

Oh well. His frame now has a beautiful 2 1/2# trigger pull. I wonder what will be wrong with it?

Mark, that is about what it amounts to in his case. I'd be laughing, but this guy was a bit too much.

He should have his frame in hand by Tues. NOW, let's see if a public apology is forthcoming. After all the furor, he has been informed that only a full apology is acceptable if he expects any other work done by me.

LD,
Since my being barred by the Big Toad at the little pond helped earn the pond its name, I will respond.

The Thompson/Center forums on Graybeard Outdoors are specifically what is referred to as the "pond." It owner, Bill Graham, has what many of us regard as a very onesided view of the store of TC knowledge. If you rock his lilly pad too much, he'll run you off as he did me and a few others.

He embraces the "money talks, and bs walks" approach and those who buy banners on his site are protected against opposing viewpoints that he determines to be excessive, as mine are.

Plus, I hit a pretty sensitive nerve of his on top of that.

More cryptic terms you will see here:
Referring to the owner of Graybeard Outdoors, Bilsama, Catfish, GB, the Big Frog.

Taliban Outdoors has been used in place of Graybeard Outdoors.

Many of the posters here on Accurate Reloading are refugees from GBO, or Graybeard Outdoors.

We have a delicate situation that has developed in that the poster OpenedEyes is in fact, Matt Graham, son of Bill Graham, the owner of Graybeard Outdoors, and Matt has started another forum, www.single-shot-forums.com. Matt is also the brains behind the Graybeard Outdoors computer matters.

Due to association, many here have been looking at Matt with a jaundiced eye, wondering what Sonny is up to slummin' around over here. So you will see posts in this regard, I am sure.

In fact, after a lengthy conversation with Matt this evening, my first, I will be making posts on his behalf.

Hopefully this brings you up to speed somewhat on the mysterious, cryptic terms.
