What gives at VVG?
Without getting the source of the rumor into hot water, I was told that Justin Sipp is no longer at Virgin Valley. This comes as a shock since he is Steve's son-in-law, Jeff Stratton's brother-in-law, and what appeared to be pretty much the "nuts and bolts" behind the company.

What gives? Anyone know or is this unfounded?

I don't know what happened but I see that Justin's picture is no longer on the VVCG web site. I don't think I have ever talked to Justin. Mark has done all of my wood work including refinishing stocks. His finished product is A+ in my book. Most of my orders go through Dave. I haved talked to Steve and Jeff and they all seem to be great guys.

I heard the same thing through the grapevine early last week but I didn't hear any "firm" reasons why he left.....only rumors.

Justin is or was pretty much the main thrust behind the company, with Jeff probably a close second.

I thought I felt a tremor in the earth.

If Justin in fact has left the company, it does not bode well. I have been all for them and their success. I hope this is just another unfounded rumor.

Since VVG Dave lurks and posts here, Dave, is there an official statement to be announced?

Fellas,
Yes it is true. Justin has left the business. At this time I cannot say why, or even speculate. It was between him and another owner.

I can say that Jeff is in charge and things are smoothing up from the transition of Justin absence.

Dave, Thanks for the info. I am REALLY sorry to hear that Justin left. Any word on what he will be doing? Still in the gun trade, maybe?

Hopefully things will work out for the best.

Best regards to you and the crew there.

I suppose I might as well chime in here before things get too far out of hand.

Justin and the majority owner of the company had a falling out. Consequently, Justin is no longer with us (as you well know at this point). That is about all Im allowed to say regarding that issue.

I do assure you, however, that this will not affect the quality of our barrels and stocks. I along with my crew have been building all the barrels and components since the companys inception. Mark has been doing 100% of the T/C stocks for a couple years now. Needless to say, the quality will not suffer. In fact, Im going to do my best to keep improving our products and services.

I dont want people to shy away from us because Justin is no longer here. Im still here and plan to be for a very long time (I dont know if thats worth anything or not [Wink] ).

At any rate, thats the gist of things. I just dont want the rumor mill to get started.

Well said Jeff. Glad to see you posting here. Just wish it could be under different circumstances.
Keep up the good work.
