skid2964Scopes for SSP...
I'd like your opinions on handgun scopes. I have an old Burris 2.5x7 on my .223 contender I've had for 15+ years, I really like it. But I use nothing but Leupold on my other pistols and rifles. I purchased a Burris rifle scope last year and didn't really like it and replaced it with a Leupold.
Now it is time to purchase a scope for my new 30-30 AI contender barrel. What do you recommend? I am considering a fixed 2x or maybe alow power variable ... a Burris or Leupold, I noticed the Burris still appears to be a great buy. Anyone here using a recently manufactured Burris?

KYODEi agree with ernie, the 3x12 burris is one nice scope. i like em on my varmint/target rigs, with occasional use in the deer woods.
on my 14" 30-30AI, i have the 2x7 model burris ler. on 2x it has a 21' wide field of view which is handy in the woods for picking up on moving game etc.
i think it's perfect for the 30-30AI.
if ya need to save on $........i like the 2x6 bushnell trophy ler scope. it doesn't have the field of view of the burris, but is considerably cheaper.
