I read a column on handgunhunt.com about the 10 inch 7x30 and it was rather impressive. I agree out of a 10 inch that the TCU is more efficient, but the 7x30 is still faster out of a 10 inch. I have a custom TCU 12 inch barrel that is throated for 120s and it is much much faster than the 14" inch barrel I used to have, so getting rid of the factory throat is probably a good idea.
