mranch.223 Revisited
The rain finally let up here alittle and I got out and shot my .223! I think it's a keeper! With Don Shearers help I managed to get it to shoot pretty good. With alittle tweaking, I'm thinking it might get a little better. The range was just over 75yrds. This is a 5 shot group. The center hole doesn't quite show up in the scanned image. The load was 24gr.XMR2015, Rem. Brass, Winchester small rifle primers and Speer 50gr. TNT's. The bullets were seated in the cases .200
I'm in the process of making a Grip to match the forend I made. The forend works well by the way. I have the Grip ready to start shaping! I mounted it on a frame yesterday and it fits great!

Rich JakeHey Bob
That's a pretty good group. The 24 grains of 2015 seems to shoot well out of my barrel as well. I would like to load some more & run it over the chronograph to see what the velocity is. I might have to wait till spring before I can get a good reading. I give it a try though. Congrats on the group!

DutchmanHey guys, how come you don't mention the barrel length in your conversation. It is important.
Thanks. Bill

mranchHey Dutchman, Sorry about that!! Mine is a Super 14 also!! And I just got another one I'm working on to see which one is the better of the two. The best one I'll keep the other will be turned into something else!
