The massacre of the Sioux took place 125 years ago ... December 29, 1890 at Wounded Knee, S.D.
This disarming action was accomplished by surrounding and shelling the village with 4 M1875 Hotchkiss mountain guns.
Killed-over 200 men, women and children.

Was this not shown in the movie "Little Big Man"? The classic scene was a mounted soldier shooting a rifle at a fleeing woman. She did not go down! When she stopped you could see that her baby, on her back, had taken all the rounds. Amazing scene!
