New Taurus Spectrum
When I was at the SHOT show my brother and I look at the new Taurus spectrum. I was impress with the ergo dynamics. The trigger was very nice even through it was rated at 7lbs it felt a lot nicer.

A lot of compact pistols have horrible triggers. The trigger on the 5 or I tried were very consistent and user friendly.

As a shooter that is capable of using the most out of a pistol accuracy I wish it had some larger adjustable sites.

The feel is very nice and handy as was with all Taurus products it remains to be seen if it is reliable . Being design and made totally in the USA gives me some hope.

Pictures and his write up at the link.

A pick for the "best" new product at the Shot Show is a highly subjective thing. The item that most impressed me was at the Taurus booth. It is the likely replacement for the Taurus 738 TCP, the Taurus Spectrum.

It seems that Taurus has not been able to keep up with demand for the 738. The 738 has an excellent reputation for reliability. It is small, easy to conceal, and
is in the popular .380 caliber. I liked the ergonomics of the 738. So why has Taurus introduced what appears to be a replacement for the 738?

Only had one Taurus hit the reject button after first range day. No more of that brand for me.

Not that I don't have many other 1911s to choose from, but I think someone would be making a fatal error if they bet their life that my Taurus 1911 is junk and wouldn't work. A really fine pistol for the money IMO.

When considering US based operations of guides/outfitters, check and see if they are NRA members. If not, why support someone who doesn't support us? Consider spending your money elsewhere.

NEVER, EVER book a hunt with BLAIR WORLDWIDE HUNTING or JEFF BLAIR.

I have come to understand that in hunting, the goal is not the goal but the process.

Taurus Khar and Kel-tec all come up with good ideas but their execution is lacking.

Their quality control leaves a lot to be desired to many of them don't work out of the box.

I own two Taurus revolvers one was sent back and works well. The other seems to work well also but doesn't have many rounds though it.

They were both brought because they were free market and cheap.

I much prefer my Rugers and Smiths.

I also have shot a fair number of other Taurus handguns the results were so so.

They can make a good hand gun but the chance of getting a poor one is too high for me to buy them new.
