WHY ??
Do they apologize when they do the right thing like protecting their family and themselves ??
Do they have a conversation with a criminal who is intent on harming them ??
Confused

My wife, step daughter two daughters and other ladies will tell me they are sorry for what ever misfortune that could befall me.
Me: I had a flat tire
They: I'm sorry!

Makes no sense.

I'm sorry she didnt' let him get a step or two closer so that he wouldn't be in stable condition -- a "stable state" would be good, "stable condition" ? it could have been so much better.

Must be a VA thing....my mother's SO was from Mathews, VA and he always said the "I'm sorry" thing as you described. Gave us a chuckle. rotflmo

I didn't get any, but I think you've posted about this problem before.

Maybe you need a better pop-up blocker.
If you asked in the tech forum, maybe someone can help you with that.

It's ingrained. It irritates me every time a bum asks me for money and I say no, I'm sorry. Why should I be sorry that I won't give my money to somebody? just reflex. I guess better to say it too much than not enough?

I think I was supposed to say sorry to my wife yesterday, missed that window Smiler

I suggested to my ex wife it would be more effecient if I were to write down and laminate on a card 'I'm sorry!' This way she could haul it out and read it every time she felt I had transgressed. This way she would not have to work up and hold on to a resentment until I was present.

Hunting in Africa is an adventure. The number of variables involved preclude the possibility of a perfect hunt. Some problems will arise. How you decide to handle them will determine how much you enjoy your hunt.

Just tell yourself, "it's all part of the adventure." Remember, if Robert Ruark had gotten upset every time problems with Harry
Selby's flat bed truck delayed the safari, Horn of the Hunter would have read like an indictment of Selby. But Ruark rolled with the punches, poured some gin, and enjoyed the adventure.
