George SemelWell its Montana in 2011, in 1900 they carried 45 Colt SAA Peace Makers. So they are carrying the Semi Auto version. Montana Cops are not stupid.

winoThis summer I donated $20 to the Prairie County "wasting a natural resource" fund. The nice deputy had a glock hanging from his hip. He sure was admiring my 1911 sitting on the dash.

Cold ZeroA Full House Custom build on a Caspian frame. The smith is doing the right thing, so no harm done. It is just the nature of the platform. As we all know, not all of them run.
I was curious which brand and model of 1911 The Montana SP issues. Does anyone know ?

Dan416We call our state police the Highway Patrol and the last I knew they carry Sigs in 357 Sig. The county sheriff's departments can issue whatever the sheriff allows.
So we have 56 different county agencies, plus every municipality along the way, which means you can see about any gun out there.
I will check tomorrow to see if the HP still uses Sigs.
