I've been putting this sweet little pistol through it's paces the last month or so.
My intent was to provide my wife so margin of protective defense in the home.
I have several 1911's both stock and custom for my personal use. My wife was so intimidated with my pistols with both recoil and report, that she abandoned the thought of a defensive arm.
Now, she can shoot the Walther PK380 without intimidation with a degree of confidence.
So far, I have fired 200 rds of factory HB and 50 rds of factory HP, both Hornady and Buffalo Bore 90 gr without any failure 0f any kind. The Buffalo Bore+P 90's intimidated her some.
But,Sweet Jesus are they HOT!!
I reloaded some cases for practice with established data, but found some FTC with 115 gr cast. I seated the loads within or even minuse SAAMI EST. They fire sometimes, but mostly need an additional trigger pull because the fireing pin indent is very light . They are accurate, though.Any suggestions?

Are you seating the primers fully?

sometimes they have sort of weak firing pin springs to help trigger pull etc. try using federal primers, they are most sensitive i've had that problem before with walthers. it always worked

Let me guess using cci primers?
CCI are the hardest.
Winchester are the softest.

I found the problem. Seating the heavier 115 gr cast to SAMMI length produced a case bulge that evidently caused the cartridge to not fully chamber. This Walthers chamber is very tight as cero cast.
Thinking of this, I removed the decaping unit and resised the loaded ctg.
All cartridges (50) loaded and fired as expected with 780 fps with good accuracy.
My load was fairly mild, but good for practice.
It seems that looading heavier bullets in the 380acp will produce case bulge to prevent positive chamber, especially in this firearm.
A full resise after bullet seating seemed to solve this particular problem.

I would make sure that the bullets you are using are .355 and not .356. Just a thought.
