Does anyone have any experience with a CZ PCR Compact?



Looking for a smaller/lighter CCW pistol.

Not with this particular model but I have owned and shot CZ-75s for years. They are wonderful pistols, rock solid, accurate, and dependable.

Thanks. Yes, CZ does make a nice pistol, quite a lot of hardware for the money.

I had one. For me it was TOO bulky (wide) for CC. IF I could have found some thin grips I might have kept it. It was extremely accurate though. BTW the tripper pull sucked.

CZ 75 is a "clone" of sorts to the Uzi Jericho, AKA "Baby Eagle" in the US. I'm going to go way out on a limb here and venture that they're derived from the Browning HiPower design.

The CZ 75 predates the Jericho/Baby Eagle by 15 or 20 years with the Jericho being a copy as is the EAA/Tangfoglio/Sphinx, etc. It has a nice, comfortable grip like a Browning Hi-power but is a traditional double action 1st shot/single action for subsequent shots and can be carried cocked and locked, as well. The slide rails ride inside of the receiver rails which is also different from most other pistols. Nice handling guns.

I have a CZ85 compact which is very similar. I would not consider it a true CC gun, although that is what I use mine for most of the time. For true CC, I would look for the CZ 2075 RAMI. That one would fill the bill.
