Mike_DettorreExcept of course when you were in the city.
A bad day at the range is better than a good day at work.

http://www.freerepublic.com/fo...oggers/3414302/postsIdaho is a strong Republican state. It is known for being Second Amendment friendly. The reason it took so long to pass permitless or "Constitutional" carry is epitomized by the three Republican committee chairs shown above. All three chose to vote against permitless carry. They were the only Republicans in the House to do so.
It says a great deal that these powerful people chose this political hill to die on. Why? Why not vote for the bill, and at least camouflage your actions? How many are in the Idaho legislature who did exactly that? These are only the ones in the House. There is likely a similar cabal in the Senate.
These three representative control three of the most powerful committees in the Idaho legislature. They can pass bills and stop bills. They can prevent bills from ever seeing the light of day. It seems that they have done so. The final vote in the House was 54 to 15! Only active suppression by the legislative leadership could keep that sort of support bottled up. And it did. Until now. From Idaho Reporter.com:
Three high-profile Republican House members opposed a bill Friday that would allow permitless concealed carry throughout Idaho.

LamarMike. yeah pretty much.
if went near a city I just threw the pistol on the console and then stashed it if I went inside a building.
since Idaho is a shall issue state the concealed carry permit was about a 5 minute process [2 of that was writing the check] and a signature from our sheriff.
pretty much walking into his office and handing him the paper and the check was all it took to get the permit.
if he wasn't there he got a phone call and met you somewhere or just come over to the house later.

Bill/OregonI am sooo jealous. While we are a "shall issue" state, our "progressive" governor and Legislature openly despise firearms.
There is hope, even when your brain tells you there isn’t.

GrenadierWe ate dinner in a crowded Applebee's restaurant last night in WA. A man carrying a full size auto was eating with his two very young children. Nobody seemed to notice or care, even when they got up to leave. Still, I think concealed carry is better in public places.
.
According to my friend in West Virginia , as of midnight they have anyone can concealed carry !!
There are age requirements of course .
One more sensible state !
