I have a Springfield XD-3 chambered for 45ACP!

It is a very light and easy to carry, and shows little imprint under your shirt of jacket.

However I find the trigger pull very heavy and that translates to very poor accuracy at any distance beyond a face to face encounter.

Though Kimber Pro Carry 45 ACP is a little heavy and a little larger it is far more accurate and easier to shoot accurately!

I personally do not like a handgun unless it has an exposed hammer that can be carried cocked & Locked or a double action with a drop hammer configuration, like the Astra A-75 so the gun can be carried safely with one in the chamber.

Springfield now makes a small 1911 Colt the EXP clone that is available chambered for 9MM, or 40 S&W that I've been thinking about buying for a carry gun that is small, and comes with three magazines and can be carried Cocked& locked with one in the chamber. A small 1911 clone in 40 S&W is a real good choice IMO!

I bought one earlier this year to give to my preachers sons as he was going through a divorce + could'nt afford a PB+J sandwich.Every young man should have access to learning the shooting sports. As of now I have not got a feedback but I'm sure I will.

The Mod 2 is a good shooting gun but the .45 is thick thru the slide and difficult to find holsters for since its fairly new.
