How does the Wild Thing do under pressure?
The Wild Thing choked the other night. Couldn't handle the pressure and bowled a huge wide that was wider than the great Australian Desert.... Big Grin

The Young Thing kept his cool under pressure and bowled yorker after yorker.... dancing

One swallow doesn't make a summer..... Oh yes, prior to this minor blip in the paddock the echoes of self congratulations were very hard to hear from over the ditch in matters of the rivalry `tween the flightless and the jumpers!

The flightless one is a sitting duck - you could catch it in your hand if you are in Stewart Island. No sport in that. The jumper is fast and very hard to hit! A real challenge & a great achievement!

No win situation for the Flat Landers! Big Grin

Gidday Idaho Sharpshooter,

This is all about the gentlemans game that involves bowling a maiden over, googlies, staying in position if you are at third man, catching them at slips and stumping the other guys. Very simple really except those uncouth Australians are the best in the world at it. It sort of invalidates calling it a game for gentlemen really. It is a friendly rivalry ... honestly. hammering

Happy Hunting

Just a minor update - the Australians used to be the best a long time ago...now it is the Indians!!

Sachin Tendulkar is THE man - he recently score 200 runs in a ODI - the first to do it. He also has the most runs in Tests & ODIs, most centuries in Tests & ODIs etc.

The American baseball game probably picked up a few bits from this game. But for sheer excitement, skill, thrill and last minute tension....check out www.cricinfo.com.
