SGraves155This is a scrub bull from the Gran Chaco area of northern Argentina. Got him last year.
We hunted on a "Criollo" ranch. The Criollos had been forced off the Indian lands where they had lived for generations. They were doing some slash/burn clearing of the Impenetrable on their ranches to make room for grass/pasture.

SGraves155Two into the left shoulder. The blood at the jugular was a knife stick coup de grace.

SGraves155Here is another photo from the other side. He took two to the left shoulder and went down, but was still alive. I walked up and shot him again from the right side, mid chest angling forward. Don't remember if any exitted. The criollo then stuck him with a long knife in the base of the neck to bleed him.
