Homicide has not gone down in Australia according to a 10 year study taken after the government put new stringent gun control measures in place and spent nearly $400 million dollars to buy back approx. 600 thousand guns. “Politicians had assumed tighter gun laws would cut off the supply of guns to would-be criminals and that homicide rates would fall as a result, the study said. But more than 90 per cent of firearms used to commit homicide were not registered, their users were not licensed and they had been unaffected by the firearms agreement.â€

They've tried that here too. When it doesn't work they say it's cause they didn't get them all. The politicians know it won't work, they just want to disarm everybody and consolidate their power.

Unfortunately, the Socialists base very little policy on facts, reality or proof. They seem to believe that a country can be run on good intentions alone. It's sad, but they find absolute ignorance no impediment to their plans.
