Brenneke slugs available in Oz
does anyone know if there are any stockists of Brenneke slugs in australia?
Iv been reading up and it seems these seem to be the most popular choice.
What other slugs have people tried to good success through smooth bore shotguns that are readily available in oz?

Sambar1,
Its been awhile since I was into the slugs, Johhny took my Rem870 slug-gun away awhile back now. Brenneke slugs are available on the market, most European shotshell brands have them available. Cheaper US brands are generally loaded with a Foster slug, although the sabot stuff is also available. I've still got 30 Brenneke slugs from the good old days, which were loaded by Nike. Not flash out of my double SxS but then I couldn't quite justify the cost of getting an H&R Ultra Slug Hunter when the pump was taken. Performance is awesome, mate had reason to clean up a wounded Sambar with one and penetration was from the rear-most ribs through into the chest.
Cheers...

Sambar 1,

Down at O'Reilly in Melbourne they had some 3" slugs for rifled barrels last time I was there.
I think it was a European brand.

Try and order some Sellier & Ballot S-Ball Plastique slugs. They are a solid copper monolithic sabot and the penetration is just awesome, I think they may also have a higher MV due to their lighter weight.

G'day, Try Fisher Firearms in S.A. they always seem to have the Rottweill Brennekes. That's the place I usually get mine.

PMC are selling brenneke designed slugs in Oz. I bought some here in the Hunter, a pack of 5 for $4. Hit like a Mack truck and are quite accurate out of my Brno combination. Unfortunately shoot to different point of aim than the 7mm top barrel.
Hope this helps
Garry from Maitland.
