G'day all, I found out today that the politicians in Aussie are planning to submit a bill first thing in the new year to ban all imports of trophies listed on cities list 1,2 & 3!!!!! if this crazy bill goes through it will have wide ranging issues for All Australian hunter as you might be surprised by some of the animals on these lists from bears, sheep(aoudad), goats(ibex) to bovine's(bison etc) . For those of you hunters in Aussie please go state our case to your local Politian who more than likely has no idea how this will effect us as true conservationists. In fact tell them about how the WWF actual sponsors ethical hunting in Namibia with an award for the best game scout of the year!!! bet they don't know and nor do the blind fools that support WWF!!

ScriptusJust a question, how is it possible that some dimwit can ignore Cites and is not Australia a signatory nation to Cites which would mean that Australia would adhere to Cites rules and regulations?

We did have the broo haha trying to be whipped up by the MP Jason Wood a little while ago, but this sounds like a big step further, if it can be substantiated.

zhabasecond try, I don't have much more to go on ATM as I just got the word myself. Gary Pegg of south pacific taxidermy is the man to contact as he is right on the ball with it as he stands to loose a great deal of business with this crap. Scriptus your are right Australia is a signatory but it them takes its own purist stance which is utter crap.EG we can not bring elephant into Australia as they still have a trade embargo on elephant, so under cities we can import them but not under the trade embargo!!! two face bloody politicians once gain
