RockdocI hope the rain put out the fires in Tasmania and Victoria. The ones in the peat in Tassie May take until winter to extinguish.
I hear they had a meter of rainfall in the western North Queensland. The mind boggles. Huge stock losses and infrastructure damage. Flat country and high rainfall dont go together well.
I also heard there has been RAAF aircraft with fodder waiting days for government approval before delivering it to affected farmers in the north. Shame.youd have a better idea of that Bakes.

HogbreathMy friend that lives in Cairns said they got 83 inches of rain in 9 days. Claims his feet are becoming webbed.

Fodder has been coming in over the weekend here in Amberley. I don't think they needed approval. More likely they had to work out where it was needed, sort out priorities etc. The army control the helo's and if they are busy recusing people, then they won't be used to do fodder drops. Unfortunately we don't have that many helo's to do everything.

muzzaPine forest fire still blazing in the top of our South Island. No reports of injuries as yet .
I take my hat off to the firefighters and chopper pilots battling those sort of fires.
