Knife sharpening
I'm a bit of a gumby when it come to knife sharpening. Have tried the lansky kit but it was slow and the plastic bits that held the screws always broke. Just bought one of these -
https://www.wickededgeusa.com/ Have to say, pretty impressed. My kitchen knives are razor sharp now, just have to find time to do my hunting knives.

Seems like a good bit of kit. I'm in the same boat when it comes to sharpening knives, but the price of the Wicked Edge has put me off. Out of interest, which model did you get and where'd you get it from?

Cheers

The Spyderco Sharpmaker is hard to beat. You can get them for ~$50 on Amazon or eBay. They will absolutely get virtually any knife hair-shaving sharp.

I got the base model plus the 800-1000 grit stone from this bloke http://www.sharpfection.com.au/wicked-edge/

Web site says Canberra but he's in Coffs now.

These ones are made locally to me - the name is 100% correct . Pricey but good.

Hey Jim, isn't it the spiderco you have been successfully using for years now?
