A mate of mine has just told me he's shagging his girlfriend and her twin. I said "How can you tell them apart?" He said "Her brother's got a moustache!"

NitroXVery nice. I've seen some of these sorts before but check out the prices.
Love the hidden gun safe behind a book case. Though the safes in the doors below give it away a bit.

They are good looking though, just think, all your hunting books in front and your rifles behind. Zebra rug on the floor.....

MLGWhat a pleasure if one has the appropriate rifles to show off - but would it be legal here?

In one of the Aussie gun mags there was an cabnet maker that was making a similar product, with glass fronted doors. It was legal. These ones are a steel safe in a wood cabnet, I can't see the problem as long as it complies with the regs.

KarlFor rifles of similar value to other household contents I still consider a locked house is a good enough safe. Since it should be my choice how I store my things.
I would still be hiding most shit under the bed were it not for the laws.

Karl.

So why not have the blonde at your feet too - or would the missus not approve ...?

muzzaI am in the process of building a NZ Police Compliant gun storage facility. Mine is constructed in timber , but meets the regulations in that it has a concrete floor , walls lined with a layer of metal to ward off the chainsaw weilding burglars , then a layer of 17mm construction ply , and lined on the outside with 12mm ply for internal walls and standard metal exterior wall cladding on the outside wall . Will also have a 6mm steel door , no windows , 17mm ply lined ceiling with tin layer above etc . This is called a "Room of Stout and Secure Construction ( Regulation 28(1)(b))and meets the regulations as regards storage for all weapons types , semi autos and pistol included .An alarm is desireable but not specified .
Room will be a nominal 2.4m x 2.4m x 2.3 high , big enough for the modest pile of rifles , and my cartridge collection cabinets , plus room for other storage for business records , tools or whatever . Probably room for the zebra skin on the floor too - no , maybe not but a small gazelle might still fit ...
All I need to do is actually finish it ...
