MarrakaiDoesn't look 'English' to me. Hard to say for sure, but looks more like a clone of the USMC Phillipines issue sun helmet. I wear one out in the boat: lure-casting with 2 daughters and the missus, its saved my scone from an onslaught of treble-hooks a million times! Keeps the sun off, too.

JohnTheGreekThat particular ebay helmet looks like garbage. I have picked up English, Spanish, and Indian helmets on Ebay (all for under $20 USD) and I can tell you that, aside from an old British issue model complete with it's metal carrying case, nothing beats the model stil produced by Lock hatters.

I have chatted a bit with Angelo Dacey about hunting Nubian Ibex in the Sudan but scheduling that trip might be tricky. The recommended season is in the fall right when school is starting up. I'll just have to check with the University to see if I have any holidays available before Christmas break. Also looking into Boar in Tunisia and waterfowling on the Nile Delta. Should be interesting for sure.
