Anyone got a LONG action commercial 98,like a Parker Hale for sale?

Action only or barrelled action or complete rifle,doesnt really matter if its a f-cked up clunker as the action is the main prize. I have a 308 Norma Mag to screw into it and a stock as well.

You have a magnum bolt-faced bolt to go with that barrel Gryph ?

308 NM uses a magnum bolt face rather than a 30-06 size... might come unstuck otherwise and have a machining job to alter boltface.

Well i was hoping for a Safari Mag type but my smith would soon open it up..there is a 7mm mag PH for sale but he wants too much dough for it.

I'd have thought A P-H action would be easy to find in Oz - you guys had more than we did and they aint hard to find here.

How bout a military action - like a VZ24 or similar ? Should be able to find one of those without too much trouble ???

There is a couple of complete 308NM P-H's listed on Trade Me at present - one was at about $460 and going to sell . Given the exchange rate at present thats not a bad deal.... course you would need someone to do the deal and then get it over to you somehow ...

I havent looked on TM muzza,will do ,tar for that mate..maybe Shanks can bring one over with him next month.
