What is the best month to hunt Water Buffalo in Australia?

I spoke with several outfitters, and they recommended July or August. By July the tall grass is disappearing so you can see better, and by September it is getting really hot. We hunted July 26 to August 2. We saw lots of buffalo, and the tempratures varied between about 60 F. at night to about 90 F during the afternoon. They said it was a little cooler than normal because the wet season ended about 2 weeks later than normal. If you don't mind the heat in September or August, they said the buffalo are more concentrated around water and easier to find.

Beginning of August is a good time.
