Letter Campain - NSW Public Land Hunting


One and all

It seems to me that we are coming to a critical point in NSW, where some fresh support for the NSW Game Council and the public land hunting programmes in that state - could be well used. The anti forces have gone a little quiet in recent weeks, no doubt waiting for the outcome of the GC internal review ... but who knows what they are up to behind closed doors either?

What I think we need are simple, quality emails to the relevant ministers and the NSW premier - espousing the virtues of public land hunting - and there are many - positive conservation and pest control outcomes, pest control cost savings to govt, large participation (20,000+ qualified permit holders in NSW already), regional development - income for rural areas, safe and healthy family activity and land use. Hand written and posted letters would be even better - but emails are OK too.

This is not just for NSW residents - the NSW government already knows that public land hunting is important to residents from other states and even other countries... every letter or email will help!!

Some of us might post some ideas below that will help with your letter writing? A variety is best!!

Please, if you could repost this message to other forums, contact lists and news groups - that would be greatly appreciated. The onging success of the expansion of PL hunting in NSW - could well mean similar programmes for other states!
