There are still a few left in India. One in Odisha National park was estimated at 23 ft a few years ago.

KarlThe river about 400m from my house has a lot of crocs. Even 12-13 ft is 'plenty big' . When you have an animal longer than a tinny and heavier than the boat + weight of all occupants, you dont feel the croc needs to be any larger to be impressive. Not many people take small boats into the water anymore here these days.
