This might interest Saeed in particular as he is very interested and a reconised xpert himself in ammo and CUSTOM RIFLES
with a lot of talk about rifles and (long shots) here is a guy in Gisborne NZ whom custom built a .338 Mag and he took a wild goat at 1000 yards.

I have been there with these guys. Have a mate there that i saw shoot a crow at 1113m!!!!!!! some really intresting work,what a skill even if they have the equipment

NakihunterGreat stuff. Some parts of that area are like another country altogether! I have hunted and shot deer in the back country of the Motu.
On one trip the rain got the river up and we got shut in. Luckily the car was parked across the river & I got out on a "flying fox" (a cabled basket sort of arrangement for those who are not familiar!)
The people are real tough, hard and very hospitable.
