New Zealand memories

New Zealand, a wonderful and most beautiful country. On our way to take daughter, Jessica, to Sydney for her junior year in college, we stopped in Christchurch, but not long enough.
South from there we hunted for a few days and I will never forget the experience. Truly God's country...

The Tahr was shot near the top of the mountain on the left side of the picture. I was dropped on a ridge with my guide, the helicopter left and I made a successful stalk and shot across a small gorge. We could not get to him on foot where he fell. I was picked up and we were brought to this flat mesa while pilot and guide went back to recover with the helicopter, bringing hiwm down to us for the photos. Outfitter was John Berry.

It sure did, all she wants to do now is go back. If she could get a decent job there in her field, I think she would be gone.
