NitroXWhat's wrong with an owl killing a frog?

Pete ETwice I have had owls swoop on me while I have been calling foxes at night. Although they both pulled up short when they realised "something was wrong", both times I can honestly say I nearly filled my pants! They look huge at night; very errie too and its amazing just how silent they really are when they fly...

BakesI'll pick it as a Twany Frog mouth (not just because of the frog)

I've been swooped by a few hawks as I whistle foxes as well. Scared crap out of me!!

A mate of mine has just told me he's shagging his girlfriend and her twin. I said "How can you tell them apart?" He said "Her brother's got a moustache!"

Bloody Bats are the worst thing to have buzzing around! esp when your sitting quietly pondering, the possiblity of poaching someone elses property.Ie your right on the fence line & theres a Roo, sitting there just begging to be taken. The prob being its another Shooters Turf & just as you decide one way or the other a Bat dazzeled by your light loses his bearings and hits the windscreen!
all times wasted wot's not spent shootin

BushchookThose familiar with owl behaviour will know that one of their defence mechanisms is to crap on anything that gives them a fright . Either that or they like to lighten their load prior to takeoff . This can get messy when out spotlighting if you happen to drive under the wrong tree . I can recall having our ute bombarded twice in the space of a few weeks . Fortunately I haven't worn it myself yet but have seen the guy standing next to me on the ute get a "pasting" so to speak . Not pretty .

The hunting imperative was part of every man's soul; some denied or suppressed it, others diverted it into less blatantly violent avenues of expression, wielding clubs on the golf course or racquets on the court, substituting a little white ball for the prey of flesh and blood.
