Boofhead'Update'...Buying gear via internet.
Just thought I'd let you guys know my first order through Grafs.com arrived early yesterday. Total of 7 days with a long weekend in the middle.
Fantastic service from both Grafs and FeDex and no dramas from Customs.
After an earlier phone call to Customs, I was informed that there is NO permit required for rifle scopes. The guy I spoke to had a lot of knowledge in this field. (sounded like a shooter himself).
For anyone that hasn't had anything shipped by FeDex before, (me) Grafs give you a tracking number for the internet and you can see where your goods are at any given time worldwide. Really neat idea!
Anyway the whole experience was very positive and the goods including shipping worked out to be less than half the cost of buying the same gear in OZ.
I've alway supported our locals in the past, trying to keep as much money here as possible, but my support is quickly waning when I see the rippoffs our importers are getting away with.
Go and spend!

Cheers...
Boof.

Scott ThornleyGrafs has a pretty good reputation over here as well. I used to use them as a wholesale source back when I had an FFL. A buddy still does.

180 gn nosler part 30 cal $25.oo delivered to the front door
price in our gun shops $50-55 also other things like range finders/scopes etc are well worth getting especially when someone is comming over

HIPPYHUNTERM98 I started buying things overseas 3 months ago after I said
LIKE HELL I'M PAYING THAT MUCH < !--color--> . I'm not sure whats going on but consumables are at such a high price maybe the dealer or importer is asking too much?. I know that we have not got the numbers (consumers) compared to America but in some cases prices are more than double. Saying that I buy Australian made if it's available over an import guaranteed.
