Looking at heading down your guys way sometime around January 14th 2011 and then staying for about a month. During this time I hope to increase the knowledge of some of your brown and rainbow trout, but for the life of me I can't find any good deals to fly from Los Angelas or San Francisco to Christchurch.
Any ideas when the best time is to book? I know I am only a couple of months out now, but is it better to book two one ways? Or do any of you guys know if there are any deals in December to book for January?
The cheapest I can find is around $1700-$1800 and I was hoping to pay a little less? Any ideas of a travel agent to book through, or any special codes you guys know about?
BTW, if there is anything you guys need from the states, WITHIN REASON who live around Christchurch, I could bring it down when I come.
Take Care,
John

TentmanHmmm - not an easy question to answer from our end, the best I can think of is to not try to fly direct - NZ is only a little place so it makes hardly a jot of difference if you fly into Auckland and go domestic to Chch, and to do thai Air NZ and Quantas will probably offer the best deals.
Cheers

TrackersNZI just checked also. Cheapest I could find was $1720.00 from SFO. Air New Zealand/United combination. LAX a bit more expensive.
No cheaper routing through Sydney.
Popular month to fly down to NZ. That's why more expensive. It is prime time for trout fishing. Good luck.
