Took the fabulous Baker boys out to Somerset Dam today to blow the cob webs out of the boat and to have a bit of a fish. Now moving down from the NT I had to get some paper work in order before I wet the boat.
Boat rego - $82
Boat licence course- $150 for one day and he signed us as competent BEFORE we even started.
Actual boat licence- $35
Stocked impoundment permit (to fish QLD dams that have been stocked with fish. Don't mind paying this one as all money goes to the dams you nominate)
Boat permit to get onto Sommerset- $15 for a week or $100 for a year ($75 renewal after the first year)
$367 just to fish in the fresh water in QLD (bit less as I only sprung for the week permit today)
In the NT you only have to register your trailer! God I miss it

BakesLOL not as much as that Rob....but pretty close.
But trhats nothing compared to the QLD government. They are buying land to save the Koala. 15 million will be spent to buy enought land to keep 40 koala's in. Thats about $375000 per animal.

Tried to sell a koala to a Yank Marine once at Amberley. He was very drunk but didn't fall for it. Would've been great to watch him climb the tree to grab it. LOL.
