elsgeting a little excited
Well I've wanted to visit Australia for a long time. Finally headed over mid September for a hunt with Australian Big Game Safaris. Simon little for a Buffalo hunt.
we'll be spending 2 days in Darwin to get over the affects of the LOOOONG flight over. Any suggestions this time of year for things to do in Darwin.

A mate of mine has just told me he's shagging his girlfriend and her twin. I said "How can you tell them apart?" He said "Her brother's got a moustache!"

sheephunterabWe just got back to Darwin after a week hunting with Simon and had an incredible time. We kicked around Darwin for a day on the way in just checking out the sights. Hunaman restaurant is definitely worth a stop!

You got the terminology right in any case!!
Els - you will have plenty to do in Darwin, sitting in an al fresco bar, watching the young ladies walk by. It is quite relaxing. Catch a cab to Crocodylus Park and the military museum if that interests you.
Good luck - have fun

elsMatt goodness, you actually have women in Australia? You mean to tell me all those sheep and Kangaroo stories were not factual?
Seriously I have been reading about the WW II pacific theater and will be really interested in the military Museum.

The women I was talking about are backpackers - tourists from Europe mainly - we keep the real women under lock and key and the sheep safely in the back paddock.

elsHi. I'm too lazy to do a hunt report but I did want to say that I had a very nice hunt with Simon Little and crew.
Matt, I did run into a few of those back packers. They were nice to look at. Unfortunately at my age they look a little grand- daughterish.
I have to say the people were just wonderful and the NT Country is beautiful, truly beautiful. The beaches north east of Walker river are the stuff dreams are made of to look at except for the croc's sunning of the uninhabited beaches.
All in all a wonderful country, wonderful people, wonderful hunting.

sheephunterabThat flight from Darwin to Groote does making packing a bit challenging! Glad you had a great time!

sambarman338Sorry to hear the sunning crocs spoiled the beaches. You realise the lazy buggers are all socialists, of course. Not only do they prefer well-padded capitalists for lunch but their way of sharing them is very ugly

elsSimon is such a sensitive fellow that when I said I wanted to go for a swim he graciously offered to film the action so when one of those Saltys decided to have a snack he could get it on film so the family would have some thing to sell and maybe make a buck or two off the video... Sweet fellow that Simon.
