Harre Model 49 Action from NZ???
Guys, do you know of a manufacturer in NZ called Harre, making a rifle action called the Model 49? I see a nice custom rifle over here stocked by Gary Goudy on a Harre 49 action, but I’ve never heard of them.

A quick search shows the company closed down in the mid 80's

I think the owner was Brian Harre and the rifles are well regarded and relatively scarce, especially here in NZ.

Yes, I've never seen one. Looks like a modified Dakota 76 with double square bridges.

I know Brian and have handled his rifles. Brian designed and built his own action (5x action lengths), did the stock work himself also and from memory only built 73 rifles. Many of the rifles were take downs and a few had .300H&H and .375H&H barrels. When I last saw him he was building a short action with three barrels and a medium length with 30/06 and 9.3x62 barrels. What caliber is the rifle and what is the seller asking for it?
