Cooking in the hunting camp
Well re-heating. Got a tip from works internal network. Pre cook your meals, vacuum seal them and pop the package in hot water to heat up. So a just after Easter the young bloke and I went chasing reds. A week before I cooked up some curried snags, spag bol and pasta. Put them in large zip lock bags to freeze flat, then vacuum sealed them. Bloody worked at treat. To cook we just had a big boiler on the fire to heat water, popped in the sealed bags and re heated dinner. Bugger all to clean up and so easy. For a couple of days away this is what I'll be doing from now on

Bren7X64That's a great idea. I usually want to get a fire going and stick a slab of meat on it, but that sounds painless.
Worth doing, I reckon.

sambarman338I must look into this. Is there issue concerning plastic molecules clinging to the food?

pagosawingnutPop them into "HAT" water. I don't guess we have that in the states...........

Sorry, I just couldn't resist.
Fixed the spelling

No mate, not with food grade plastics apparently.
