I got an order for one of these and I was pleasantly surprised by the figure I could sell it for.

The little experience I have had with this brand has all been good.

Other opinions though.

Just how good do others think these rifles are?

MSR compared to the GPR?

any positive comments will be greatly accepted.

I do know that I am quite happy with both of mine, a 22lr and a 22 WMRF. Now if I can just find a 222 rem (from memory the 1740?) that I can afford... Wink

I was looking at them on the Anschutz site at the same time as I had the wholesale price list open in front of me Monday night Smiler

I own a 64MSR which I use for its intended purpose - metallic rifle silhouette. I'm very happy with it - it is very accurate with SK Match (<25mm 5-shot groups at 100m), the trigger is great and it is well designed for its intended purpose.

I've also had a few shots from a 64MPR and I was less impressed. It is still a nice rifle but not as practical I think - mainly because the barrel is too long which makes it very muzzle heavy and less suited to offhand shooting.

Let me know if you have any questions. I'd be interested to know your sell price on the MSR, I have a mate who wants one after trying mine.

Reminds me of a friend who reckoned he got a Distributer's price and quoted us only a 10% markup. Then when the Rifle turned up he added in the old sales tax,(20% ?) and freight.

Didn't look so good then. Smiler Still, it was fun those days when you could buy "right now."
