BakesBloody rain
Was heading out to the property the ADA branch I'm in manages, with the young bloke to a working bee weekend. But it seems we've been beaten by the rain. Was looking forward to the induction and the shoot. Ah well, it's give me a weekend in the shed fixing up the boat tailer.

A mate of mine has just told me he's shagging his girlfriend and her twin. I said "How can you tell them apart?" He said "Her brother's got a moustache!"

sambarman338Bloody rain? Well, there's plenty around again now.
I wonder what's causing it? Perhaps La Nina shouldn't drink so much before she goes to bed

ScriptusThink of the poor beggars in northern Natal and Mozambique. It has been fore-casted that they are going to get up to 400mm in the next three days.

muzzaWe got a bit of a hammering in our area yesterday. Severe gale-force winds from the north , swung round to the south and cam back again. Lots of roofs damaged and trees down. Power out still in some places.
So much for summer...

Well, Bakes, considering the increased frequency of such events, plus the recent early twisters in America, perhaps the research-established 96% of scientists who think so might be right.
As to the poor beggars in Natal and Mozambique, yes, they could really be in for it. Shakari, a PH who frequents the African AR forums, told me something like 10,000 people died a few years ago when the Zambezi flooded.

ScriptusIt looks like the Tropical cyclone is veering out to sea. The full extent of damage caused will not be known for a few days, but at least 9 people have lost their lives so far. Some places appear to had more than 300 mm.
The lunch-time news showed parts of Austrlia under water. Mother Nature flexing her muscles?

NakihunterSorry to hear of the floods guys. I hope none of the AR members are personally affected.
I saw a program on the Murray Darling Cod. Sad to see so many tousands of fish die after the floods.
