geekayShaun, ADI has a website,
www.adi-limited.com/handloaders-guide/index should get you there. Are you planning to come to the state shoot in May?

Bad Ass WallaceThe ADI manual is a bit 'iffe' on loads for the 6.5x55. For target loads used in service rifle I use 38.5gn AR2208 with the 140gn Taipan HPBT. This chronographs 2580fps in my gun but my bore is tight. Swedes will vary depending bore condition.
I have contacted ADI about their 35.5gn and was informed that that load was only caculated by a computer and not actually test fired!!!!
I still have about 600rounds of the military stuff which goes 2553fps with the 139gn FMJ.
Sorry can't help with the others as I don't use them

BakesFC
I use AR2209 in my swede. Here are some loads from Nick Harvey's book.
AR2209
100gr bullet,
Min:46gr Max:48gr
120gr bullet,
Min:44gr Max:48gr
140gr bullet,
Min:43gr Max:46gr
Hope that helps

Bad Ass WallaceWith all due respect to Nick H, I don't think his loads were developed in a M96/38 Swede but rather a modern rifle with a 9" twist rather than the 7.5" of the Military rifle. Many shooters have found the primers flatten and shell heads separate in 2-4 firings. Most of his loads are in the 2700-2800fps range which exceeds the Military spec by 200-250fps.
Ever remember that while these rifles are made of supurb steel we are dealing with a weaker designed Mod 96 Mauser not a Mod 98 or other rifles of modern manufacture!

BakesJust had a look at the book again.
The rifle used was a "M96 custom:58.4cm Barrel:Norma cases:CCI-200 primers". I agree with you BAW, his loads are a little hotter than the ADI book. I always thought that that was because ADI down loaded a bit for legal reasons.

Far CanelGeekay,
Had to dig out my SSAA mag. and have a look re.May 1st.
Nah mate I can't hit shit,I'm just a plinker.

Bad Ass Wallace fancies himself as a Service Rifle shooter though,he might be up there.
Bad Ass,
How did you go on Sunday, did you give that big .50 cal a blow out!
I bet you had them lined up for a shot.LOL

Had to go swimming at a friends place with the family, bummer.

I'll be going to Gympie in Feb.may see you there.
I shoot 39 gr of AR2208 behind the 129 gr "shooters warehouse" bullet. No pressure signs, I use a wlr and PMC case in my M38 swede.
