PeterNew Zealand hunting
What do you locals do for hunting, Red Stag for example. NZ has always been on my list of places to visit, and I thought I might try to hunt while I was there. Are there any alternatives to guided hunts on private lands? If not, any good deals?
Thanks, Peter.

TOP_PREDATORThere are Millions of arces of public land which can be hunted by anyone for free.
We have no seasons or bag limits or TAGs and there is no legal need to carry out any of the meat from any animal you shot.
Bringing bolt action rifles to New Zealand is no problem, handguns can't not be used for hunting and can only be fired on the range.
Not sure about semiauto rifles,we can own them here, but i don't know much about importing them.

kiwiwildcatI have access to some great hunting areas all over NZ. If you're ever down this way I'd be only too happy to set you up with something. Firearms no problem, either bring your own (as per Predators previous post) or I can provide.
Cheers, Michael.

PeterKiwi, thanks very much for the offer. I am in the early stages of planning. I understand that you can hunt year round, but, when is the best (preferred) time? I don't really want to just show up, park by the side of the road, load the gun and wander off, so some assistance would definitely be needed!
Peter.
