BakesInteresting use for an old 303 action
I quite like this idea. Plenty of 303 actions laying around. I just met a bloke with a shed full.

Idaho SharpshooterSerendiptious. I saw one today at the Boise Cabela's. The original M1879 was a 45-70. Submitted by the inventor to Sharps Rifle Company that year, they saw no future. The brits certainly did, though...

georgeldVery nice use for the old rifles.
Ex wife used one on a date that went bad when he started beating on her. Shot him thru the knee cap with a 150gr SP. Doc told me later: "That boy will never walk on THAT knee again". Judge told the law to give the lady back her rifle, and ammo, case dismissed self defense".
Best thing I got out of that marriage was OUT!!

dpcdYes, I build these only I use one piece stocks and alter the receiver. Actually, Sharps did think it was a good idea and built the first 200 of them; they they went bankrupt. They were going under anyway as all the bison were gone. Remington got the rights from them and made the Remington Lee. The English getting the rights to it was another deal.
