sambarman338Good pics, Bakes!
I was driving in urban Bundoora on Thursday when a 'roo jumped on to the road in front. Unfortunately my three-year-old grandson was asleep in the back and missed the show.

impala#03I've always wondered, are kangaroos good to eat? Is there a season for them?

NakihunterGood fun shooting the wallabies in the south Island of NZ. Got one on full gallop a few years ago with my 7mm08 at about 60 meters.

No season as such for recreational hunters but can be shot under pest destruction permit to farmers with a permit system in place in most states.
There is a commercial roo system in place also for the commercial market for skins and human consumption.
Very lean and healthy meat, pretty dark but choice cuts can be great eating.
Cheers,
Mark.

BakesNever really liked roo. Unless its minced and mixed with spices and such. Don't like roasts etc.
